Class overview

What is the AION 2 Cleric class?

The AION 2 Cleric is the dedicated healer class of NCsoft's Unreal Engine 5 MMORPG AION 2, which launched globally on PC on October 5, 2026 via Steam and the NC PURPLE launcher, free to play. Carried over from the Priest archetype, the Cleric holds the game's strongest support kit: single-target heals, area recovery, heal-over-time effects, debuff cleansing, resurrection and damage shields.

Healing is only half of the class. The Cleric's Healing Enhancement passive converts Attack into Heal Boost, so damage gear also makes your heals hit harder — and because dungeon rewards scale with damage contribution, even full healers weave damage skills between casts. From around level 22, stigma slots and the Daevanion skill board let you commit the same character to group healing, solo battle-Cleric damage, or PvP support.

Its sibling class, the Chanter, is a melee buffer rather than a main healer. If you are choosing between the two, the Cleric is the safer pick for group content demand — parties form around a healer.

AION 2 Cleric core skills at a glance

Six skills define the AION 2 Cleric across every build — two direct heals, a heal over time, a cleanse, and the damage pair that powers the battle Cleric. Full descriptions, rotations and Daevanion priorities are covered in the class guide.

Skill Type Why it matters
Healing Light Single-target heal Main tank heal — first Daevanion priority
Radiant Recovery AoE recovery Answer to group-wide damage phases
Light of Regenerator Heal over time Keep it rolling on the active tank
Absolution Cleanse (stigma) Debuff answer; Lv 5 cuts its cooldown
Condemnation Damage Crits reset its own cooldown at Lv 12
Earth Punishment Damage (stigma) Guarantees Condemnation crits at Lv 5

Why main a Cleric

Why play an AION 2 Cleric?

Highest party demand

Dungeon and raid groups recruit healers first — community consensus on r/Aion2 calls the Cleric the game's de facto healing class.

Two playstyles, one character

Swap between a heal-focused support build and the battle-Cleric crit-reset damage loop without rolling an alt.

Contribution-based rewards

Damage woven between heals earns noticeably better dungeon rewards than healing alone — the Cleric can do both.

Elite PvP utility

An invulnerability bubble that can target your lowest-HP ally, hard-CC breaks and full debuff cleansing make Clerics PvP anchors.

Getting started

How to start your AION 2 Cleric

  1. 1

    Create your Cleric

Pick the Priest-archetype healer when you make your character on the global servers (Steam or NC PURPLE, free to play).

  2. 2

Level 1-21 as a battle Cleric

Open-world content needs no dedicated healing — damage skills and early Daevanion passive nodes level dramatically faster.

  3. 3

    Choose stigmas at level 22

Stigmas unlock around level 22: Earth Punishment for solo damage speed, or the Light of Protection support set if you group up early.

  4. 4

    Set up healing macros

Open the macro editor from the skill window (K) and bind a one-key damage weave plus an emergency heal chain before your first dungeon.

  5. 5

    Commit to an endgame build

At the level cap, respec toward the PvE healer or PvP support loadout — the build guide walks through every stigma milestone.

AION 2 Cleric FAQ

What players ask most about the healer class

Yes. Cleric is AION 2's dedicated healer and the most in-demand class for group content. Community consensus on r/Aion2 describes it as the de facto healing class — dungeon and PvP groups recruit a Cleric first, and it performs in both offensive and defensive play.
Pick Cleric if you want to be the main healer with the easiest group-finder experience. Pick Chanter if you prefer a melee support hybrid that buffs the party instead of keeping it alive. Chanters can heal basic farm runs, but hard content still wants a Cleric.
For group PvE, run a heal-focused support setup with the Light of Protection, Absolution and Yustiel's Power stigmas and healing-priority Daevanion levels. For soloing, a battle Cleric hybrid with Earth Punishment kills far faster — see our full build breakdown.
Daevanion is AION 2's skill-board system: you invest points earned while leveling to raise skill levels, up to +4 per skill. The Cleric board covers 22 skills — 12 active and 10 passive — and where you spend first changes how you heal and deal damage.
Yes. Dungeon rewards scale with your damage contribution, so even full healers weave damage skills such as Condemnation and Earth's Retribution between heals. A battle Cleric build can solo farm efficiently and still heal groups when needed.
AION 2 launched globally on PC on October 5, 2026 (early access from September 30) via Steam and the NC PURPLE launcher, free to play. South Korea got the game first in late November 2025.
